Crunchy Kale Chips

These homemade kale chips are the perfect crunchy, savoury snack that’s both nourishing and satisfying. Perfect as a guilt-free afternoon nibble or a healthy replacement for store-bought chips.

BIO-ALAI FRIENDLY - Therapeutic Stage

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 1/2 hours

Serves:  2-4

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of curly kale

  • 2 tbsp cold-pressed olive oil

  • 1 tsp unrefined sea salt

Directions 

  1. Pre-heat to 100 degrees C.

  2. Rinse kale and dry well.

  3. Cut out the woody inner cores of the leaves and discard (or throw into a pot of simmering broth)

  4. Tear or cut into large bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, toss kale pieces with olive oil and salt. Make sure all the leaves are coated.

  5. Arrange kale in a single layer (not over-lapping) on two large trays, lined with baking paper. Bake until crisp; approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
