Setting you up for success

By waking up a little earlier than usual can give you ample time to focus on your goals, and enjoy your day with more mindfulness, strengthĀ and energy. You can be productive and bring more of YOU to your day.Ā 

My goal for this routine I’m sharing with you is not to take extra time, but to help you make time. Some of the most effective ways to make productive time and build energy is often not just by what you are doing, it’s in what you are not doing.Ā 

Automate your morning

I really like the term ā€˜automate your morning’ and here are some great reasons why automating your mornings will help you ease into productivity and focus at work:

  • You don’t need to think about what to do next, what you're going to wear and what to eat.
  • Once you set up your routines and habits for automation, you have to put in minimal or no effort to keep them going.
  • If you want to be seen as a reliable employer or employee, or want to be a positive role model for your kids, or you want to improve your focus at work, the secret lies in consistency.
  • Making time for self care and some exercise, while still having time to look after your family or what needs to be done in your home each morning - enables you to start the day feeling centered, with a calm central nervous system.
  • When you’re using routines to help automate your mornings, you can see where you can flex with a habit on a certain day, if required, without completely falling off the wagon, then you can get back on board the next day.

In this video from my Lifelong Vitality Program, I'd love to share my morning routine with you, I’ve found it to be really effective and supportive in taking my life to the next level in terms of productivity, clarity of mind, energy and time to be present in my relationships. It’s a combination of the morning routines of some of the most successful people in the world, some ancient wisdom from my spiritual practice and what I’ve found works well to bring you a healthy and effective start to your day.

 

One step further

As yourself, what are the two things that you can do to bring you the biggest impact and take you towards the life you want to live? Just add two things every few weeks till you build up your own personalised routine.

My natural tendency is just to wing it but, my life is so much better when I strike that balance between spontaneity and consistency. It’s taken me years to refine this beautiful morning routine, and I find when I stick to getting up early and committing to my routine, I end up feeling better prepared for my day, and I don’t find myself running to get everything done. I feel like I’m prepared and, when the unexpected arises, it’s easier for me to roll with the punches and stay calm and centred. I wish this for you too and embracing the morning is a big part of living in the ā€˜new way’ I share in my programs.
